Fungal nail infections can affect any nail but are most common in toenails. The infection occurs from the overgrowth of fungi in, under, or on the nail.
The infection usually starts at the edge of the nail, under the tip as a small white or yellow spot, but often spreads to the middle
The nail becomes brittle, discoloured and pieces can break off. It can cause pain and swelling in the skin around the nail.
Fungal nail infections can be caught from an infected person, or from surfaced that they have touched.
Walking barefoot around swimming pools, locker rooms, or showers, makes a fungal nail infection more likely.
Wearing trainers a lot, or having hot sweaty feet, creates the ideal conditions for the fungus to grow.
File the nail surface once a week. Throw away the file after use.
During the first week apply the liquid on the infected nail once a day. Repeat for weeks 2,3 and 4.
From week 5 apply the liquid to the infected nail once a week for 9 months or until discolouration has grown out.
